When I was 6 years old my dad went on a business trip to Egypt. Upon his return he brought gifts for my sister and I in the shape of the loveliest red dresses imaginable. With golden embellishments.

I couldn’t believe such beauty could truly exist. I felt like an Arabian princess wearing those garments- and I insisted on wearing them to my pre-school class but my mum stubbornly refused. Party pooper. Big time.

Sanna, my friend and a bad ass entrepreneur is getting married in a couple of weeks. I’ll be shooting her wedding of course. These are a few selected shots from her Turkish henna party.

Looking at Sanna I can’t stop thinking about that lovely Egyptian dress. She must truly feel like I did then. Like an exotic wonderful princess. Utter love I dare say.
